History of
Building Project

If you currently do not have a church family and want to learn more about what God's plan is for you in this life, then we encourage you to join with us as we assemble together in worship each Sunday morning. Service times are posted on our "Services" page.

It is our desire to see the message of the Gospel go forth throughout the whole earth so that all have the opportunity to hear this message of hope. We at NsFCC have put our faith, hope & trust in the Lord Jesus Christ whom God has given a name that is above every name. The Bible says that at the Name of Jesus every knee will bow & every tongue confess that "Jesus Christ is LORD!"

Hebrews 11:1-4 says "In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs." NIV

Pastor Rick & Emily Thompson
Sunday, March 17th, 2013

We are pleased to announce that the NsFCC congregation has elected Rick Thompson as the Senior Pastor of our fellowship. Rick along with his wife Emily and their four sons Greyson, Tatem, Asher, & Quinlan will be joining us in late spring/early summer after wrapping up their business in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area. We are excited as we open a new chapter in the life of our church here in New Sharon, Iowa.

Rick was our top candidate after the pastor search committee spent well over four months reviewing cover sheets & resume's of more than 120 potential pastor candidates. Rick ministered in the Sunday morning worship service on Sunday, March 10th, 2013. That service was followed by a church dinner along with a 'Question & Answer' session with the Thompson's. Members of the congregation were given the opportunity to ask them a wide range of questions in an attempt to get to know them better as we prepared for a congregational vote the following week.

If you missed our service on Sunday, March 10th you can still hear the message that Pastor Rick shared with the congregation by going to our Sermon Archives page, just click on the image below to listen.
The message is 20 minutes in length.
